24/7 Sound enrichment for tinnitus relief : An invitation to participate in a trial

Cubex is developing a new pathway for people experiencing tinnitus to access the extended wear hearing device, Lyric. We are currently looking for people experiencing tinnitus to participate in a trial that involves the use of the extended wear sound enrichment solution and we would appreciate your feedback on the process & Lyric technology.

What is Lyric?

Lyric is completely invisible and is the world’s first hearing and sound enrichment solution which can be worn for extended periods of time. No one can see Lyric as it is inserted deep into the ear canal providing sound enrichment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Lyric’s miniature size combined with its exceptional build quality, allows it to withstand the challenging conditions within the ear canal. Originating in Silicon Valley, Lyric incorporates Swiss precision engineering to create a work of technological art.

Although Lyric was not originally designed to alleviate tinnitus, many patients have reported experiencing relief from their tinnitus during the daytime and most important, while asleep. We want to explore if these benefits can also be experienced by individuals whose primary concern is tinnitus.

What does the trial involve?

The first step is a tinnitus assessment which also includes a hearing sensitivity test. We will ask you to complete a short questionnaire and a scale. Thereafter, we will screen you for Lyric which involves a close examination of your ear canal and ruling out any contraindications and if appropriate, we place the Lyric deep in your ear canal. Due to the deep precise placement, Lyric will not be seen from any angle at any time.

If you are a successful candidate, you will test drive Lyric for a period of 14 days in your daily life. Once complete, all we ask is that you return the Lyric and fill out a very short and final questionnaire.
