Food for Brains - A Healing Bowl of Winter Goodness

Here is a quick and easy recipe for a lovely warming dish on a cold winters day, a Vitamin-C packed drink which can be enjoyed hot or cold, for a fiery, punchy hit of goodness. Simply blend the following ingredients together well to give it a wonderful froth and add some extra volume.

  • Satsuma 1
  • Orange, squeezed ½
  • Hot water 150ml
  • Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon
  • Ginger, grated 1 inch piece
  • Manuka honey, optional  1 teaspoon

Blend these together in a high speed blender until mixed together well and frothy. Alternatively, if using cold water, you can boil this in a pan after blending. Add the honey after tasting for sweetness. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and pinch of cayenne pepper. Voila!
