Mental Focus Workshop – How to Manage Stress, Improve Mental Control and Clarity.Register HereAs part of Tinnitus Awareness Week 2016 and in support of the British Tinnitus Association (BTA), Cubex are hosting 'Tea for Tinnitus' on 12th February and invite you to join their guided workshop on using breathing techniques to naturally de-stress, relax and quieten the mind, followed by a cup of organic, brain boosting tea from The Detox Kitchen. [divider]Who's invited?[/divider]We are extremely excited to have leading London-based yoga teacher, Henrietta Greene who will bring her wealth of yogic expertise and guidance to our first 'Brain Power' yoga workshop. The workshop is aimed at people whose tinnitus leaves them feeling depressed, exhausted, stressed, distracted, anxious or restless. However, the invitation is open to anyone who simply wants to practice relaxation techniques, de-stress and start the weekend feeling fresh, brighter and ready to move forward with positivity. [divider]What will happen at the #T4Tinnitus workshop[/divider] Breathing techniques are generally practiced as part of a longer yoga session which usually consists of movement through physical postures, ending with mindfulness meditation. However, the emphasis of this workshop will be breath control (also known as pranayama) aimed at relaxation and stress relief. [divider]How Yoga and Tinnitus Fit Together[/divider] Cubex offer treatment plans that aim to reduce a person’s awareness of tinnitus and put it in the background which is why yoga is such a good fit. It gives you the tools to increase mental focus, achieve a calmer state of mind and achieve greater physical strength and flexibility, something that can make a huge difference if you are experiencing the effects of tinnitus stress. The practice of yoga doesn't have to be the fluffy experience reserved only for super bendy girls. Everyone can benefit from yoga. As well as the various physical benefits of practicing yoga, there are many psychological and cognitive benefits that are key to overcoming tinnitus stress, reduced hearing sensitivity and even problems with balance. These include:
- Improved concentration
- Sharper focus
- Increased mental clarity
- Reduced sleep disturbance
- Reduced anxiety
- Reduced depression
- Increased sense of well-being
- Positive shifts in locus of control
- Improved coping mechanisms
- Improved balance
- Reduced muscle tension
