COVID-19: What you can expect from US when visiting for an essential appointment

We want to assure you that strict infection control is in place. Your health and safety continue to be our priority.Our team are fully aware of the current requirements. They are undertaking extreme levels of health and safety measures to ensure that the highest possible clinical and general hygiene and infection control standards are maintained at all touchpoints of your journey with us. This includes but is not limited to in-clinic consultations, annual hearing health reviews, micro-suction, hearing lab services and handling of technology. - Before any appointments, all patients will be communicated with and offered as first choice, digital or telephonic remote support.
- There will be a pre appointment screening to establish that your appointment cannot be conducted remotely and that there is an essential need for a face to face consultation
- All visits to the clinic will be by appointment only
- It would be preferred if only you attend the appointment but see what we expect from you
- You/we will maintain a safe distance of 2 meters unless instructed by a member of the team or clinician who will ensure that you/they are adequately protected
- Your clinician will enter the clinic room after you have sat down, he/she will be using appropriate protection as required and will sit side on to you unless there is an appropriate protective screen in place
- For any direct face to face instructions or other activity there will be a safety screen or safe barrier to protect you and us
- There will be clearly marked areas to ensure safe distances are maintained
- There will be protective screens strategically placed for safe face to face encounters (discussions, booking appointments and payment ALTHOUGH this can also be done remotely pre/post appointment if needed)
- Strict sterilization protocols are in place
- PPE will be used, and personal hygiene will be observed by all our team members
- Disposable face masks for mouth and nose and disposable sterile gloves will be used when appropriate and full-face screens will be used
- Chairs in clinic rooms will all be non-upholstered and sterilized before and after visits
- All clinical contact and time will be minimised and any activities that can be conducted off site will be
- Due to communication requirements a full transparent face mask may be used
