THIS WEEK'S TIP: DON'T STICK EARBUDS IN YOUR EAR![vision_divider style="hr-solid"]In this week’s TIP Senior Audiologist and Managing Director of Cubex, Adam Shulberg talks about ear hygiene and more specifically ear wax removal and micro-suction.Whilst it is important to regularly remove a build-up of wax in the ear canal, we strongly advise against removing wax yourself and inserting any objects into the ear canal in an attempt to remove it.

[vision_divider style="hr-solid"] Regular and ongoing professional maintenance of your ear canals is always recommended whether or not you experience hearing loss and especially if you are prone to repeated wax impaction or wear hearing aids.We use a safe, comfortable and pain free technique called Micro-suction that involves the use of a binocular microscope or loupes providing a clear and magnified view of the ear canal. This allows us to use fine low pressure suction that safely removes any wax obstruction.The Cubex micro suction and ear care clinic is open every Monday by appointment only.Appointments last 30 mins and can be made on the day.Emergency clinic is available pending clinician availability.Wax removal for one or both ears: £85.00.Due to the short duration of the appointment, we recommend arriving 10 minutes earlier to settle in.
