Join Cubex for a healthy Macmillan Coffee Morning
At Cubex we are planning on keeping the energy of summer alive during September and aim to spend the remainder of the year feeling healthy both physically and cognitively and we would like to inspire you to do so too.We kick of the Autumn by participating in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and hosting another event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and in memory of those nearest and dearest to all of us who have lost their battles with cancer, including Lorna Frost (Cubex Audiologist) and Gloria Shulberg.[divider]A coffee morning with a twist[/divider]As usual, we turn coffee morning on its head and invite you to join us for the evening instead and have opted for a more nourishing and healthier take on cakes and biscuits which are gluten free, sugar free, low fat and very high in antioxidants. So join us for the world’s biggest coffee morning in support of Macmillan and to see how easy it is to cook and eat healthily so that you can stay active and participate throughout the day with lots of cognitive energy. We eat in order to live and food provides us with the cognitive and physical energy we need to do so. In today’s world, there is a huge variety of foods that are available to save us time and to fit into our busy lives, that we must take care not to eat unhealthily and mindlessly. It’s important to pay attention to what you eat and care about what you put into your body.[divider]What's on the menu?[/divider]Eating mindfully to thrive and not just to survive is our motto and we hope to inspire you to adopt this approach through introducing you to a selection of foods that is healthy, nutritious, colourful and stimulating both for the appetite and for the brain - Think Chia Chai Spiced Tea; a hearty blend of seven spices with coconut sugar, Saffron Lime Cheesecake, Spice Bites, Coco Fudge and Sweet Potato and Quinoa Bhel on chilled watermelon.Bringing the flavour to Macmillan Cancer Support at Cubex this year is Mira Manek, food blogger and author focused on healthy cooking inspired by her Indian heritage. Mira’s approach to food is full of nourishment, easy to prepare and big on flavour. She consults for and works with leading London hotels and restaurants and her free from refined sugar, dairy and gluten products are sold at the Detox Kitchen, Raw Press, Department of Coffee and Holborn Dining Rooms and we look forward to drawing on her approach to help inspire you to eat more mindfully and provide your body with the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fuel it so deserves.
