When I started this journey, it was not the physical challenge that scared me. What worried me was not being able to reach my target of £5,000 for these amazing charities – The Miles Frost Fund in partnership with the British Heart Foundation and Resources for Autism.
Fundraising so far...
4 months into serious training and I am delighted to say that my fundraising efforts have had a well needed injection this last week with some very generous donations and I am now finally well on the way with over £3,000 raised so far.I want to extend my deepest gratitude to those of you who have shown your support so far and kindly donated. For those that haven’t and would like to, I thank you for your consideration and look forward to the possibility of your support.
About Miles and The Miles Frost Fund
"We couldn't save our brother but we could save you"
Miles Frost was the son of Sir David Frost, OBE. He died suddenly of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in July 2015. Young, fit and in the prime of his life, Miles was just 31.Miles’ death devastated his family and friends. And it was made all the more painful when they were told Miles probably inherited the condition from his father, Sir David Frost.Clinical and genetic tests are available to identify those at risk of HCM, but unfortunately Miles was never tested.In Miles’ memory, the Frost family have set up the Miles Frost Fund to raise money for the the British Heart Foundation to stop more people going through the pain of losing a loved one to deadly heart conditions like HCM. The Fund will help ensure that genetic testing for immediate family members of those affected by HCM is available nationwide. This will mean more people are diagnosed with this potentially deadly condition so it can be treated before it’s too late.I wanted to share with you George and Wilfred Frost’s appearance on This Morning today.
