Happy Birthday Shakespeare!This month marks the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare. Shakespeare’s creative transcends cultures and continues to influence a global culture 400 years after his death.The actual date of Shakespeare's actual birth remains unknown, but, traditionally, his birthday is celebrated on April 23rd (St George's Day).Like his birth, William Shakespeare’s exact date of death is not known for sure. It is assumed that he died on his 52nd birthday. There is only a record of his burial on 25 April 1616, at Holy Trinity Church. I’m thrilled by what she’ll bring to Henry. There’s no-one I’d like to see play this part more.” Terry is most noted for her numerous roles at The Globe, RSC and the National Theatre, and was awarded ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ at the Olivier Awards for Tribes at the Royal Court.Learn more here
